In 1960, Piaget made history by entering the Guinness Book of World Records with the 12P movement, the thinnest automatic caliber at 2.3mm. In 1964, the brand acquired Baume & Mercier and opened new boutiques, further establishing its reach.

In 1967, Yves Piaget, then at the helm of the company, formed partnerships with celebrities, including a collaboration with the famous artist Salvador Dali.

In 1988, Piaget was acquired by Compagnie Financière Richemont S.A., the world’s third largest luxury group, which fully acquired the brand in 1993.

In the 2010s, Piaget became a patron of the Château de Malmaison and the Princess Grace Rose Garden in Monaco, and participated in the restoration of the clock tower in Venice.
