In the 1930s, the brand began creating watches for both men and women, and in 1943, it registered its name, solidifying its reputation as a premium timepiece and jewelry brand.

In June 1959, Piaget opened its first boutique in Geneva. Under the leadership of Valentin Piaget, the brand expanded its expertise to include the use of precious stones, gemstones, and gold. It then ventured into high jewelry and cemented its status as a premier luxury brand.

In 1960, Piaget made history by entering the Guinness Book of World Records with the 12P movement, the thinnest automatic caliber at 2.3mm. In 1964, the brand acquired Baume & Mercier and opened new boutiques, further establishing its reach.

In 1967, Yves Piaget, then at the helm of the company, formed partnerships with celebrities, including a collaboration with the famous artist Salvador Dali.

In 1988, Piaget was acquired by Compagnie Financière Richemont S.A., the world’s third largest luxury group, which fully acquired the brand in 1993.

In the 2010s, Piaget became a patron of the Château de Malmaison and the Princess Grace Rose Garden in Monaco, and participated in the restoration of the clock tower in Venice.

In 2014, the ultra-thin watches accounted for 30% of the brand’s watchmaking segment revenue, while in 2017, jewelry made up 40% of the brand’s revenue.
